Our new Hereford/Red Devon calves are being born this spring. We have 3 so far!
We have been added to the Eat Well Guide!
We currently have in stock:
Our meat is vacuum-packed in individually wrapped packages. This protects the meat from exposure to air, extending its life in the freezer and preventing "freezer burn". The meat is frozen immediately after processing and stored in sub-zero freezers.
Our cattle are pure Hereford beef cattle. They eat either fresh pasture growth or stored grasses such as hay or hay silage. They are allowed to grow at a natural rate; calves stay with their mothers. We have recently introduced a new Red Devon bull, Gilbert. The Red Devon is an old breed from England dating back to pre-Roman times. The Red Devon is superbly suited to grass feeding. Their meat is flavorful and moist and they gain weight efficiently on grass. Our first Hereford/Devon calves are being born this spring. Our herd lead stress-free lives on about 40 acres of pasture, with free access to water and shade. We do not use any hormones or antibiotics. The herd stays healthy due to the lack of crowding, free-range pasture, and careful management by Rob.
